M1 Carbine

The main firearm used by U.S. soldiers in Evans City is the M1 Carbine rifle with 30 round magazines, although some are briefly seen with 20 round ones. After escaping from a military convoy, David (W.G. McMillan) and Clank (Harold Wayne Jones) take two of these rifles and use them for the rest of the movie to fight against the soldiers and escape.

Colt Police Positive

One of the Evans City police officers that try to overpower the soldiers in the doctor's officer carries a Colt Police Positive revolver before he is killed. Another police officer carries a nickel one, but it is never seen well enough for a screencap.
