"The Callup"/"Repmånad" (1979).


The Callup, (in Swedish "Repmånad"), is a Swedish comedy from 1979. It follows a squad of former soldiers during their obligatory one-month military refresher course (also called "Repmånad").

The following firearms were seen in the film "The Callup"/"Repmånad".

Carl Gustav M/45B

The primary weapon of the characters is the Swedish Carl Gustav M/45 SMG. Most of the time it's seen with a special blank-firing device and a brass-catcher.

Heckler & Koch G3

Though the main characters use the older M45 SMG, some of the extras use the (then) main assault rifle of the Swedish Army: AK4, which is a Swedish modified Heckler & Koch G3A3.

The Kulspruta M/1936 (Browning M1917 conversion) is fired during an exercise. Note the red-tipped blank rounds. The gun was used as far as the early 1990's, especially mounted on trucks in a dual MG-configuration.
