The OP has potential. I decided to pop in and give a hand. Good effort for a new page. I have not seen the movie but I jacked some publicity stills from the net and cropped them 'cinema style' to have them line up in a uniform manner. ;) MoviePropMaster2008 00:15, 13 November 2009 (UTC)

Unknown Rifle

Not sure what rifle Guy Pearce has. Input welcome. MPM2008

  • CORRECTION: The rifle pictured is not a Martini Henery, the give away is the brass fittings. It is a Parker Hale Enfield 1861 Artillery Carbine.

Guy Pearce's other Revolver

When he's first released to hunt his brother he is hold a much larger revolver than his smith. Can anyone identify it?--81.96.200.164 00:46, 19 September 2010 (UTC)

Guy Pearce's top break is a rifle?

How can you be sure that it's not just a pistol with the front sight removed/barrel shortened? Looks just like a model 2 or 3 to me. You can find pictures of them without front sights. Also, the underside of the barrel forward of the latch doesn't look right to be a 320 rifle, which usually has a wood furniture handguard. --Ultimagameboy 18:22, 12 July 2012 (CDT)

I propose going back to the earlier version where it's described as a pocket revolver with shortened barrel/missing front sight, unless/until it can be clarified by someone as being a cut down rifle. --Ultimagameboy 18:25, 12 July 2012 (CDT)

I agree that it isn't a 320 rifle, as if it was cut down to that length the rear sight would still be present on the barrel, and also the lug under the barrel is different on the rifle as opposed to the pistol here which is conventional. All that's necessary to remove the front sight is to take out one pin isn't it? Even if this wasn't the case, a longer barrelled Model 3 cut down to this length is more likely than a revolver rifle. --commando552 18:59, 12 July 2012 (CDT)
Just noticed that it is a 5 shot, and assuming that the old description is correct that the trigger guard is square backed (can't tell from the one screen) it could be a, 1880 double action revolver. --commando552 19:13, 12 July 2012 (CDT)

Yeah it is a 5 shot, I think when I first created the page I put that it was the same as the .32 used in Fallout 3 (it looks very similar). An 1880 double action sounds very plausible - period correct, too. --Ultimagameboy 20:48, 12 July 2012 (CDT)

Poses

Boy, Hillcoat sure likes to use that one pose when his characters handle a pistol. Kinda funny.--Blokhed 10/26/10
