I've just rewatched the episodes featuring the 1911 and the one that Scott and Markunda use are one and the same. Scott takes it off her as they'd taken his Glock, but returns it. The cap of Markunda firing the 1911 is just sunlight on the slide. Can someone confirm before I alter the main page? --[[User:Taurus96|Taurus96]] ([[User talk:Taurus96|talk]]) 19:38, 31 December 2012 (EST)

H&K carbines

I'm just going on what I remember from seeing this on TV, but i seem to remember that the carbines being used by the SAS while training in episode 1 were 5.56mm rather than 7.62mm, specifically I think they were HK53s but they look a bit long but is hard to tell as they are not shown that clearly. Also the magazines look odd, more like the ones used in Vektor rifles. Also the 7.62mm guns used in the first two episodes are shorter than G3A4s or even G3KA4s. However they don't look quite short enough to be MC51s, is anyone aware of a company that makes a gun between these two?

I think they are the same as the rifle in Season 1 which is currently labelled as a G3KA4 but on inspection is definitely shorter. In that case a list of weapons used by the team is shown and the rifle is listed as an MC51 so this was clearly what they were going for. However the MC51 uses an MP5 handguard, and there is an inch or two between the front of the handguard on this and the front sight meaning it is slightly stretched. Anyone ever seen this before? --commando552 (talk) 12:22, 6 November 2012 (EST)

Also, that promo image of Philip Winchester shows the that the cocking handle is at the forward end of the cocking tube, on a regular G3A4 or G3KA4 there is a length of cocking tube ahead of the cocking handle before the front sight. The handguard also appears to be vented and looks like it may have been chopped down from the full size handguard seen on the South African G3s. --commando552 (talk) 14:09, 6 November 2012 (EST)
