In a flashback explaining King Benny's (Vittorio Gassman) notoriety, young King Benny (Sean Patrick Reilly) uses a Colt Detective Special to shoot the "man in tub" (Mick O'Rourke). In 1967, an old man draws a nickel Detective Special to fend off two criminals trying to steal from young Lorenzo 'Shakes' Carcaterra (Joseph Perrino).
