By 1983, the the border of East Germany (German Democratic Republic, DDR) became the front line as the BETA advanced across Eurasia.  The story follows the elite 666th "Schwarzesmarken"b TSF Squadron of the East German Army (''Nationale Volksarmee'', NVA) as they battle enemies both in front and behind them.
