Sacred (2004). CD Cover.

Sacred is an action role-playing game developed by Ascaron Entertainment company and released in 2004 .

Several firearms, usable for Dwarf character, appeared in Sacred Underworld expansion pack (2005). All usable weapons have infinity cartridges and don't need reloading, they don't have animations of their details working (e.g., the hammers are always cocked and don't move, the cylinders do not rotate, the character doesn't pull the trigger, nor it moves by itself). Handguns, while using character's ability called "Wrath", can fire five shots in auto mode, with character even holding it "gangsta-style". They can be can be used with shields, even in they are clearly modeled as two-hand weapons, but none of them can be dual-wielded, though. A sort of wick cannon can be used also by Dwarf, carried on his back, in modes of flamethrower, mortar cannon and a simple cannon, again using some magical abilities (namely "Flame Thrower", "Mortar Grenade" and "Cannon Blast"). None of the enemies or NPCs are ever seen wielding or using the firearms.

For a purpose of illustrating, some screenshots were taken using Sacred NL mod with English texts, which allows a much higher zoom, since in the original game it is pretty hard to notice all the details

The following weapons appear in the video game Sacred:

Usable Firearms

Single Action Army style revolver

A revolver that resembles Colt Single Action Army with 4,75" barrel can be used by Dwarf character. Contrary to the real SAA revolver, the in-game weapon doesn't produce smoke when firing.

Fantasy Twin Barreled Pistol

The Dwarf can use a flintlock double barreled pistol. Hammers on this weapon are always magically cocked. Apparently, this weapon was not based off any real example.

Fantasy Blunderbuss

An obviously fantasy variant of a blunderbuss can be used. It has an exaggerated hammer and a muzzle tube.

Fantasy Flintlock Musket

The player can found a musket which, however, looks like a bizarre hybrid of a flintlock musket and revolver flintlock gun.

Side by side double barreled shotgun

Another weapon that can be used by Dwarf character is a Double Barreled Shotgun. While using "Wrath" ability, this gun can fire five shots in automatic mode. The shotgun needs only one hand to operate so the Dwaft can carry shield and fire the gun at the same time.

Unusable Firearms

Flintlock pistol

When a character is fires at somone, a cursor in a form of Flintlock Pistol appears. Also its image can be seen on the icons of magic spells "Flame Thrower", "Mortar Grenade" and "Cannon Blast", used for firing the cannon that Dwarf wears on the back.

Heckler & Koch USP Match

Among the textures in texture.pak file, there is unused AJ_TEST.tga file which actually is a poster of Lara Croft: Tomb Raider movie, featuring Angelina Jolie with Heckler & Koch USP Match pistol. The name suggests it was a leftover never intended for a proper usage in-game.

Naval cannon

Near N'Aguali and Pirate islands, some ships with the mounted naval cannons can be noticed. These are merely sprites and cannot be interacted with in any way.
