Rescue Me (2004-2011)

Rescue Me was an American drama comedy series that stars Denis Leary as Tommy Gavin, a New York City firefighter who struggles with his addictions while continuing to deal with the lingering effects of being on the job during the events of 9/11. He also periodically encounters ghosts of people he's known who have since died, including his cousin and best friend, a fellow firefighter who was killed at the World Trade Center. The series aired in the United States on the FX Network from 2004 to 2011.
