Raid on Entebbe is a 1977 television film directed by Irvin Kershner (The Empire Strikes Back) and based on the true story of the Israeli commando mission to liberate the hostages at the Entebbe Airport in Kampala, Uganda, on July 4, 1976. The film starred Charles Bronson, Horst Buchholz, Peter Finch, James Woods, and Yaphet Kotto as Uganda President Idi Amin.
