Puppet on a Chain is a 1971 crime thriller directed by Geoffrey Reeve and based on the novel by Alistair MacLean. The special agent Paul Sherman (Sven-Bertil Taube) is sent from USA to Holland in order to track down the drug shipping from Amsterdam.

When Paul Sherman (Sven-Bertil Taube) overtakes The Assassin (Peter Hutchins), he is armed with a Smith & Wesson Model 36 revolver. Next moment Sherman's revolver switches to Colt Detective Special.

Pistols

Femaru 37M

Several Meegeren's henchmen carry Femaru 37M pistols in various scenes. During the brawl on the barge Sherman's opponent is armed with a suppressed 37M. Sherman manages to disarm him and use the pistol himself. Later he disarms another henchman. The suppressed pistol used by The Assassin (Peter Hutchins) in the opening scene is supposed to be the same 37M.
