Although he returns the shotgun at the end of the scene, Majestyk keeps the exact same shotgun on a gun rack in his home, and uses it during the final shootout. At one point, he gives the shotgun to Nancy Chavez (Linda Cristal ) and asks her if she knows how to use it, to which she naively replies "...just point and pull the trigger, right?".
