Loaded with Death (original title Zaryazhennye smertyu) is a Soviet 1991 (filmed 1990) action movie directed by Vladimir Plotnikov. A group of escaped criminals hijacks a Russian fishing vessel "Udachlivy" ("Lucky") in the waters of North Pacific. A Soviet Border Guard patrol ship "Yuri Andropov" and US Coast Guard helicopter make a joint operation to release the vessel. What neither criminals, nor border guards know is that the fisherman is loaded with smuggled drugs, and the American drug lord goes on his fast boat to get the drugs from "Udachlivy".

The following weapons were used in the film Loaded with Death (Zaryazhennye smertyu):

Handguns

Makarov PM

Sr. Lt. Rakov (Aleksandr Kulyamin) uses a Makarov PM during the shootout with criminals on board of "Udachlivy". Criminal Fedoseev (Vadim Andreev) uses Rakov's PM to commit suicide.

Assault Rifles

AKS-74

Nikodimov (Boris Bystrov) and his henchmen use several AKS-74 assault rifles, taken from slain prison guards. They constantly switch to AK-47s and back again. AKS-74s are also carried by Soviet border guards and Spetsnaz troopers, including Col. Aleksandr Starynin (a cameo of film cinematographer Aleksandr Kovalchuk). In firing scenes AKS-74s are fitted with blank firing adapters.

Trivia

Border Guard Patrol Ships

A Soviet border guard patrol ship Yuri Andropov (Project 11351, NATO codename Krivak III) plays an important role in the movie. Some other patrol ships are also seen.

Mi-24 Helicopter

A Mi-24V (Hind-E) appears as a US Coast Guard helicopter (most likely used due to its some resemblance to the really used Sikorsky S-61R). It is piloted by Jerry Ranklin (Vladimir Antonik) and Ray (Anatoly Vedyonkin). The helicopter appears thoroughly armed; ironically, real Coast Guard helicopters carried nothing but M60 machine guns in some configurations.
