The Smith & Wesson Model 29 is the sidearm of Brad Kuffs (Bruce Boxleitner) at the beginning of the film. A Model 29 is also carried by SFPD Officer Ted Bukovsky (Tony Goldwyn) during the final rooftop shootout; he buys it at a gun store, where he refers to it as a ".44 Magnum".
