Kucher K1 - 7.62x25mm Tokarev

The Kucher K1 is a Hungarian SMG. Its desighn was based on the Kiraly 44.M prototype submachine gun. The re-design of 44.M was started by József Kucher in 1949, where magazine foldability was eliminated, and the selector switch was retained for both full-auto and semi-auto fire. The K1 performed successfully during Military tests on 11 November 1951 in Táborfalva, after which it was adopted by the Defense Ministry and manufacturing was approved. Some sources claim that K1 to have been put into service in 1953 and given the designation "53.M". The K1 was produced in unknown, but univocal limited quantity.
