Remake of the 1953 film.

The following weapons were used in the film Deadly Encounter:


Colt Python

Chief Ward (Jimmy Hunt) and Officer Kenney (Kenneth Kimmins) carry Colt Pythons as their sidearms. They're seen holstered in several scenes, but only taken out when the two confront David and Linda in the school.

M1911

The US Marines, particularly General Climet Wilson (James Karen), Sergeant Rinaldi (Eric Pierpoint) and Captain Curtis (Christopher Allport), use M1911 sidearms. They're held against the two Martian-controlled NASA technicians in Wilson's office.

M16

The M16 is the Marines' primary weapon. They're used extensively by Captain Curtis and his men during the climax of the film when they battle the Martians.

M16A1 with 20 round magazine - 5.56x45mm. What distinguishes it from the original M16 was the addition of a raised rib around the magazine release button, changing of the forward Receiver pins, and the addition of the forward assist button on the upper receiver.
