Ice Cold in Alex is a 1958 British war adventure movie directed by J. Lee Thompson. After the fall of Tobruk in June 1942 a British officer Captain Anson (John Mills) tries to reach Alexandria on an ambulance car with a motley crew of his mechanic, two British nurses and a South African officer. They have to overcome numerous dangers in their journey.

The following weapons were used in the film Ice Cold in Alex:

Handguns

Enfield No. 2

All British officers and petty officers carry revolvers that are mostly seen in holsters. The single revolver that is seen fully is an Enfield No. 2. Other revolvers may be of the same model or possibly Webleys.

Mauser Gewehr 1898 Carbine

Most German soldiers are armed with Mauser rifles of carbine lenght but with straight bolt handles and Lange Visier sights, like on Mauser Gewehr 1898 full lenght rifles. Most likely the rifles are Gewehr 98s, converted to carbines.
