I Am A Hero is a 2015 post-apocalyptic horror-comedy film starring Yo Oizumi as Hideo Suzuki, an aimless manga assistant whose life is suddenly changed by the onset of a zombie apocalypse. Armed with only a sporting shotgun, he sets out to survive and redeem himself as his world deteriorates around him. This film is an adaptation of the 2009-2017 manga of the same name by Kengo Hanazawa.
The following weapons were used in the film I Am A Hero:
Submachine Guns
Ingram MAC-11
An airsoft MAC-11 is used by the survivors at the Fuji Royal Outlet Park camp. It is later used by Hideo.
Rifles
Colt M4A1
An airsoft Colt M4A1 is also used by the survivors at the Fuji Royal Outlet Park camp.
Shotguns
Ruger Red Label
A 28 gauge Ruger Red Label is prominently used by Hideo throughout the movie. This is notable difference from the original work, as Hideo is depicted using a Beretta 686E in the manga. Due to privately owned guns being extremely rare in Japan, the gun is seen as an item of extreme interest by other characters throughout the movie. Hideo owns it for sporting purposes, but the apocalypse has given him the opportunity to shoot zombies with it instead.
