Rifles

Karabiner 98k

Instead of correct Steyr Mannlicher M1895 rifles, Austro-Hungarian soldiers carry various Mausers, most of which are anachronistic Karabiner 98ks. Some of 98k rifles appear to be "Kriegsmodell" version.

Kania (Marek Kondrat) carries a vz. 24 Mauser rifle. This is a version with double set of sling swivels, both below and on the side of the stock. Some sources claim that such version was issued to cavalry troops while others don't differ it from standard vz.24. The front sight without the protector is common for early production.

Unidentified Mauser rifles

Soldiers carry Mauser rifles, closely resembling 98k except for straight bolt handles. As the rifle has a notch on the stock, used for the turned down bolt handle, this Mauser may be a kind of rework of a 98k with G98 or vz.24 bolt.

Chudej (Róbert Koltai) carries a Mauser rifle. It differs from 98k by a groove on the stock and differently placed lower barrel band.

Machine Guns

Unidentified machine gun

In the final scene the German squad has a pair of machine guns. They are seen very briefly and unclear and due to the shape of mountings can be identified as Schwarzlose Machine Gun Model 07/12 or Maxim MG08.
