GunCrazy is a 1992 crime drama directed by Tamra Davis. It is a loose remake of the Gun Crazy film (1950).

Anita Minteer (Drew Barrymore) buys a Smith & Wesson Model 686 revolver and practices with it when she learns her convict pen pal likes to shoot guns so she can share a common interest. M1911A1

Anita presents an M1911A1 pistol to Howard (James LeGros). She tells Howard that the pistol is chambered for 9mm as it's Howard's favored caliber, but the screen gun seems to be a standard .45 rather than 9 mm. Howard then uses it throughout the film. In the final scene several Fresno PD officers also carry 1911s.
