Gorov light machine gun - 7.62×54mmR. For paratroopers.

Experimental Soviet light machine gun. It was designed by Major E. Gorov. In 1942, Gorov completed the design process for his light machine gun and submitted it to government testing. The Gorov LMG was designed with two stock options: a fixed wooden stock and a folding metal stock. The former was to be the main model of the army, the latter was to be issued to special forces and paratroopers. This machine gun was chambered for the 7.62x54mmR caliber. It was fed from 20-round detachable box magazines borrowed from the Finnish Lahti-Saloranta LS/26 rifle.
