Bukit Kepong is a 1982 Malaysian war film based on the true story of the Bukit Kepong tragedy. The film chronicles the lives of Bukit Kepong police officers in their fight against Malayan Communist Party guerrillas after they stormed the police station before dawn during the Malayan Emergency 1948-1960. Jins Shamsudin starred in the film as Bukit Kepong police sergeant, Jamil Mohd Shah. In August 2015, this movie was re-released with in high-definition.

Webley .38 Mk IV

The Webley .38 Mk IV is the service revolver seen carried by every Federation of Malaya Police chief during the Malayan Emergency. In the film, the Webley Mk IV is used by Sergeant Jamil Mohd Shah (Jins Shamsudin) as his sidearm. The Webley Mk IV was also seen in the hands of MCP guerrillas to execute their own comrades after they betrayed the cause.

Sten Mk V

The Sten Mk V is the standard submachine gun for Federation of Malaya Police and Police Jungle Squad troops in the film, most featured have the forward pistol grip removed. Also, it has been used by MCP forces. In the film, the Sten is used by Bukit Kepong police chief Sergeant Jamil Mohd Shah (Jins Shamsudin) and Police Constable Jaafar Hassan (Yusof Haslam) as they try to defend the station by communist forces.

Lee-Enfield No 4 Mk 1*

The Lee-Enfield No.4 Mk 1* is the standard service rifle seen carried by the majority of the Federation of Malaya Police officers. The No.4 Mk 1* rifle was also seen in the hands of the Malayan Communist Party and the Police Jungle Squad.

Bren Mk I light machine guns are also used by the Federation of Malaya Police, MCP guerrillas and Police Jungle Squad. After finding the ammunition for Bren gun was depleted, one of the police officer dismantled the Bren by throwing away the magazine, barrel and firing pin to prevent capture by terrorist

The No. 36M Mk.I Mills Bomb is used by the MCP and Police Jungle Squad troops in the film. In desperate attempt to overwhelm the stubborn Police defense, the MCP using grenade and burn the station to flush them out
