Genre: Third Person Shooter/Hack and Slash

BloodRayne is a 2002 hack and slash by Terminal Reality. Players take the role of the titular character Rayne, a half human, half vampire known as a Dhampir. The story takes her from 1933 in a fictional town in the Louisiana Bayou, then 5 years later to a secret Nazi base in Argentina, and finally a castle in the mountains of Nazi Germany. Along the way she must assassinate officers of the GegenGeist Gruppe, a fictional association of Nazis based on the Thule society. Throughout this the player must fight mutants, monsters, Nazis and demons to protect the world from the threat of a devious Nazi General, and his ambitions of demonic power.

The following weapons appear in the video game BloodRayne:

Handguns

Colt Single Action Army

In-game known as the "Cole 44", the Single Action Army is one of the first guns encountered during the Bayou section of the game.

Mauser M712/C96 Hybrid

Also seen in the game is the Mauser C96, depicted with what appears to be the detachable magazine of the M712 Schnellfeur style pistol, although it lacks any of the controls or selector switches of such. Known as the "Mauz 9mm" in-game.

Shotguns

Called the Breaning A5 in-game. The Browning Auto-5 can be found in the Louisiana levels, and used in the 'Heavy Weapon' inventory slot.

Held by another 'Mutate'. Note that in-game it's depicted with a Cutts Compensator.

Ithaca Model 37

The Ithaca Model 37 can be found throughout the game, although its appearance in 1933 Louisiana is anachronistic, and its use by the Germans in 1938 is misplaced. It's known as the "Ethica 33" in-game, presumably implying that it appeared four years earlier in the game's universe. A more historically correct choice would be a Remington Model 10.

Submachine Guns

Haenel-Schmeisser MP28/II

First encountered in Argentina, the Haenel-Schmeisser MP28/II is known as the "Bergstein Mp28" in-game.

Seen here held by an officer of the GegenGeist Gruppe. Note the curious bayonet lug, something unseen on real MP28s, although similar was on the Lanchester Mk. I.

MP40

The MP40 can be seen in the latter half the game, known as the "SMP34" (which is actually a completely different weapon). It is seen both with and without the folding stock deployed. Its appearance is anachronistic by a few years, although it may stand for an earlier MP38.

M3A1 "Grease Gun"

The M3A1 "Grease Gun"'s appearance in the game is both misplaced and anachronistic, the A1 model of Grease Gun being rolled out in 1944 (and the original M3 is from 1942), and it being an American submachine gun to begin with. Seen with and without stock deployed, and known as the Greaser SMG.

Seen here Wielded by Rayne while she snacks on some SS sod. Note the lack of crank lever and closed dust cover, as well as the long barrel, which means it was likely modeled after a civilian non-NFA carbine.

Rifles/Battle Rifles

FG42

The FG 42 can be found in the hands of more elite troops in-game, though it is anachronistic. Curiously, it's been modeled with the side-mounted magazine stuck into the bottom of the handguard in a more conventional look, but wholly incorrect. Whether this was due to miscommunication, aesthetics, or technical constraint is anybody's guess.

Gewehr 43

The Gewehr 43 is found in the Argentina and Germany chapters, prominently seen in the hands of snipers. Its appearance is anachronistic and, sadly the model is crinkled oddly like the MP40. It also has the scope bracket for the ZF4 attached, but the scope is absent.

Seen here in the Argentina bunker. Note the lack of sights and the ZF4 bracket at the back of the receiver.

Jennings Rifle

The Smith-Jennings Rifle of all things makes an appearance in the Louisiana swamp levels. Its appearance is quite strange, as the original Smith-Jennings was brought out in 1851 and was a flop commercially. It's likely that less than 2000 rifles were made before 1852 when production ceased. Known as "Kennings Rifle" in-game.

Seen on Rayne's back. Once again, a strange inclusion when they could've instead used any repeating rifle between 1860-1933.

Winchester 1873

The Winchester Model 1873 can also be found in the Louisiana chapter, making much more sense in such context. It's known as the "Winkesler Rifle".

Assault Rifles

StG-44

The Sturmgewehr 44 is first encountered halfway through the Argentina Chapter. Once again, anachronistic, at least a 4 years before appeance the first Haenel MKb 42(H) "machine carbine" prototype. Known as "ZZG33" in-game.

Machineguns

M1918A2 BAR

Appropriately American, but also anachronistic for A2 variant, is the M1918A2 Browning Automatic Rifle. It's found in the Louisiana chapter and known as the "M1918 GAR".
