Black Pea Coats (Chyornye bushlaty) is a Russian 2018 war mini-series directed by Vitaliy Vorobyov. The plot depicts the activities of a Soviet special operations squad of the Northern Fleet in 1941 (inspired by the real 181st Separate Reconnaissance Squad and its serviceman, subsequently commander Viktor Leonov). "Black pea coats" was a common nickname of the Soviet naval infantry (marines).

The following weapons were used in the miniseries Black Pea Coats (Chyornye bushlaty):

Revolvers

Nagant M1895

Sailor Sanya Syomin (Pyotr Puchok) carries a Nagant M1895 revolver in several scenes. A Nagant is also seen in holster of Militsioner Yasha (Igor Liventsov).

Pistols

Tokarev TT-33

TT-33 pistols are used by the instructor of the special squad Senior Lieutenant Sashok (Ilya Spinov), sailor Yukhim (Ivan Latushko), Starshina (Sgt. Maj.) Gusko (Timur Savin). A TT is also seen in hands of a German Unteroffizier (Andrey Fomin). Levontiy Leontyev (Vyacheslav Krikunov) carries a TT holster in many scenes, but it seems to be flat and empty.

Walther PPK (Erma EGP 75S)

A German engineer (Grigoriy Zeltser) of the Organisation Todt (a military engineering organisation in Nazi Germany) who is captured during the special squad raid carries a Walther PPK style pistol. The shape of the slide serration allows to identify the gun as a Erma EGP 75S blank- and gas-firing pistol, based on the PPK.

Submachine Guns

PPD-40

Karabiner 98k

Most German soldiers are armed with Karabiner 98k rifles. Kar 98k rifles are also seen in hands of Levontiy Leontyev (Vyacheslav Krikunov), Starshina Gusko (Timur Savin), Timofey (Anton Filipenko) and "Pomor" (Igor Kulachko), as well as a number of Hiwi (Hilfswilliger (auxiliary volunteer) were Wehrmacht auxiliary forces mostly recruited of Soviet POWs). vz. 24 Czech Mauser

During the battle with the Soviet special squad a German Jäger holds a short rifle with straight bolt handle and sling swivels positioned below the stock. These features allow to indetify the rifle as Vz. 24 Czech Mauser (Gewehr 24(t) on Wehrmacht service).

This rifle seems shorter that a Kar 98k and resembles a Vz.16/33 Czech Mauser but the bolt handle doesn't match this model, and the stock lacks the grasping grooves that are common for vz. 16/33.

Trivia

8.8 cm Flak

A German anti-aircraft battery on which Leontyev's platoon makes a raid is armed with 8.8 cm AA guns of unclear model (Flak 36 seems to be the best guess). This episode is based on the real operation of Viktor Leonov's squad although it happened in October 1944, not 1941 as in the series.
