IMI Uzi

USSS Agents and various assassins use the Uzi. The U.S. Secret Service actually does have the Uzi in their arsenal and many agents use them. An example being the assassination attempt on Ronald Reagan on March 30, 1981 when Special Agent Bob Wanko pulled an Uzi out of a briefcase to cover the President.

An Uzi, much like those that would have been in the arsenals of Secret Service offices in 1987, when this film was made.

Remington Model 1866 Derringer

Killian's backup weapon is a Remington Model 1866 Derringer which he offers to the First Lady as a defense weapon. He uses it after being wounded to kill the lead assassin. Killian says it fires a .410 Shotgun Shell that will "mess up your face". He keeps it in an ankle holster.
