ARES FMG - 9x19mm. This is the second prototype model.

The FMG was designed in 1984 by Francis J. Warin for Eugene Stoner's company ARES Inc. (US Patent 4625621, filed April 2, 1984) Warin designed the FMG as a self-defense weapon for high-ranking politicians and wealthy businessmen in kidnapping prone nations. The FMG is a uniquely foldable design that can be folded into a small nondescript box for concealment.

Two prototypes were made. The first model lacks a trigger guard, uses MP 28 magazines and has a top-mounted charging handle. The second model features a trigger guard, adds an additional 3-round burst mode, uses Uzi magazines, and has an under-barrel charging handle.

Weapons of similar design include the UC-9, PP-90, and Magpul FMG-9.
