Ruger MkII

While the MKII wasn't around in 1963 when the launch of the project took place, IIRC the MKI in that configuration was around.Off topic, I believe the Ruger Standard inspired several Sci-fi ray gun illustrations and iT for years and years cost $37.50 :) --Tecolote (talk) 01:59, 17 December 2014 (EST)

Good point, I only identified it as a MkII because of the adjustable rear sights and the length of the front sight (never seen a MkI with one that protrudes so far back along the barrel). And I'm pretty sure you're right about them basing most early "laser" type guns off the Standard, either that or it's a huge coincidence. --[[User:RedRobinAlpha|RedRobinAlpha(User talk:RedRobinAlphatalk) 08:03, 17 December 2014 (GMT)

That pistol is not a 4046, it has a short barrel. Does it have a full size grip? If it is a short grip it could be a 6946:

Smith & Wesson 6906 - 9x19mm

If it has a full size grip it could be a 5946 SSV (Short Slide Variant):
