Handguns

Beretta 92FS

Max Payne (Mark Wahlberg) uses a Beretta 92FS as his main sidearm in the film.

Max chambers his Beretta before entering his partner Det. Balder's (Donal Logue) house. Real cops typically keep their sidearms with a round in the chamber at all times, but Hollywood likes the image and sound of racking the slide.

Taurus Judge

Max Payne (Mark Wahlberg) carries a Taurus Judge revolver in .410 Bore and .45 Long Colt as his backup gun in the film. The gun's ultimate power is grossly misinterpreted, since Hollywood sees this as simply a "shotgun revolver", when in fact the .45 Long Colt it fires has more effective stopping power than the bird-shot rounds it typically fires (based on the shot pattern left by the gun in the film, it is assumed he uses bird-shot). Somehow he manages to fire six shots from a five shot cylinder in this scene.

Error creating thumbnail: File missing
Max blows open the stalls with his Taurus Judge, which wouldn't blast open doors like this in real life. What's interesting is that all the stalls appear to be locked, which was likely done so the explosives used to imitate the shotgun blast could be consistent with each door, and locking them shut makes that easier. Also, note how the impact on the wall is misaligned with the gun.

Charter Arms Undercover

A Charter Arms Undercover hammerless is seen on the table when Max Payne (Mark Wahlberg) is cleaning and loading his guns. Max is later seen firing it at an assailant in Balder's house.

SIG-Sauer P226R

BB's right hand man, Joe, uses a SIG-Sauer P226R as his sidearm. When he is killed by Mona Sax (Mila Kunis), she gives the gun to Max Payne (Mark Wahlberg), who uses it when confronting BB Hensley (Beau Bridges) on the roof.

Colt Detective Special

Smith & Wesson Model 10 Heavy Barrel

Submachine Guns

Heckler & Koch MP5KA4

Mona Sax (Mila Kunis) carries a Heckler & Koch MP5KA4 fitted with a 15 round magazine as an unconventional sidearm hidden under her jacket by a sling. During the final assault, Max Payne (Mark Wahlberg) wields two MP5Ks akimbo, effectively dispatching Aesir Security by the dozens. When Max confronts BB Hensley (Beau Bridges) on the building rooftop, BB fires on Max with an MP5K, but it runs empty before he can score a fatal hit.

Unknown SMG/Grease gun?

One of Lincoln's thugs is seen armed with an Unknown SMG. I over looked it as an MP40, but now I realize it isn't. Can't seem to match it to anything.

Could it be a Yugo M-56? The weapon in question does slightly resemble it.

looks like a DUX 53 or 59 to me--Sarkardarkstar 15:32, 4 September 2009 (UTC)

Winchester 1300 Defender
