(If you look closely you can just barely see the double stack bulges on the frame). This is accurate, as NYPD authorizes the P226 R for carry; however the version authorized has a DAO trigger... unlike the weapon used in the movie.
Ruger GP100
A woman pulls a stainless Ruger GP101 revolver out of her handbag when she finds out there might be an intruder in her home.
It's a short barreled SIG 556 with fixed hooded front sight, but leave it up to gang bangers to not flip up the pop-sickle stick style rear sight. I noticed most of the gang members were using them it when I saw the movie in theaters.
This shot gives you another idea that the weapon might be an MP5K or like.
Assorted Handguns
Paul Hodges suits up with a lot of guns at some point in the film.
Error creating thumbnail: File missingI see a Beretta Inox in his right hand, a silver S&W auto in his pants, a black S&W auto in his right shoulder holster and what looks like an H&K USP in his left shoulder holster. I don't think it is a USP. Could this be the first instance of a Smith & Wesson M&P???
Trivia
In "Green Band" trailers (approved for all audiences), characters are not allowed to point guns at other characters in the same frame. Quite often, the character's weapon will be erased with computer graphics in order to comply with the ratings. Other examples can be seen with the trailers for Iron Man and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
