wasn't this movie made before Walther made the PPS?

That cant be a Walther P22 in the movie...the first production of that pistol wasnt out tell 2001 and this movie was released in 2000 Spades of Columbia

Confusing Ending

I don't get the ending, why are some of the Chinese assassins are still active, like the guy with the Beretta 93R???
