Steam page Boxart
Release Date: Oct 3, 2022 (Early Access)
Developer: Small Impact Games
Publisher: Team17
Platforms: PC
Genre: First Person Survival Shooter

Marauders is a hardcore looter-extraction shooter released for Early Access in 2022. Set in an alternate 1992, several decades after a more destructive World War I rendered planet Earth uninhabitable and forced mankind and the surviving superpowers to become space-faring colonial empires hell-bent on hording precious resources and settle old scores once and for all. The player is put into the shoes of the Marauders, semi-independent groups of space privateers and mercenaries who takes contracts from the three remaining major powers: the Central Empire, the Kingdom Alliance and the United Allies.

Many of the rare firearms featured in the game can be attributed to frequent collaborations between publishers Team 17 and the Royal Armouries Museum of London.

NOTES: Due to the game's nature as an Early Access title, many of the featured firearms have placeholder reloading animations: such as belt-fed weapons reloading from invisible mags, shotguns reloading off-screen (as functionally their reload systems are coded similar to magazine-fed weapons), etc. Another commonly noted quirk is that most weapons are missing rear irons sights, which may be the developers' creative decision to clear up the ADS sight picture for more casual audiences.

The following weapons appear in the video game Marauders:

Pistols

Luger P08

The Luger P08 appears in the game as a basic sidearm using "9mm" ammo in a 8-round magazine. It can be fitted with the M712 Mauser suppressor. The default "Rustbucket" dropship usually spawns a Luger P08 for free, alongside 30 rounds of 9mm and a Basic Rig on every raid.

Colt M1911

M1911A1

The M1911A1 appears as the "1911 Government" chambered in ".45 ACP" in 8-round magazines. Compared to the Stamped versions, the "1911 Government" pistols appear to do more damage. While relatively rare as world spawns, they are more commonly found as sidearms for U.A Medics.

"1911 Stamped"

A rare experimental variant of the M1911 made of cheap stamped-sheet manufacturing methods (in the vein of the FP-45 Liberator pistol) appears as the "M1911 Stamped", apparently mass-produced in this alternate history as the standard sidearm of the United Allies. Compared to the original M1911 models, these only hold 7 rounds of ".45 ACP".

Mauser M712 Schnellfeuer

The Mauser M712 Schnellfeuer can be found in the game as the "Mauser M712" and has select-fire capability between semi and full-auto. It is chambered in "10mm" in its default 10-round magazine, presumably standing-in for 7.63x25mm Mauser and can be attached with a wooden stock/holster, suppressor and 20-round extended magazine.

"M712 Special" (PASAM machine pistol)

A unique variant of the Schnellfeuer modelled after the Brazilian PASAM machine pistol prototypes is exclusively carried by the Red Baron called the "M712 Special" was added in his eponymous "Red Baron Update". It is chambered in .45 ACP, comes with a default 20-round magazine and unlike the Schnellfeuer, occupies the primary weapon slots instead of the sidearm slot. It is able to take the same stock and suppressor modification as the regular Mauser M712.

While modelled after the .32 ACP version, it is instead chambered in "9mm" in 20-round magazines. As of 2022, the gun appears to have the options for attachments, but are currently unavailable in-game.

The M1928A1 Thompson submachine gun appears in the game as the "Thompson" chambered in ".45 ACP". By default, it comes with the older wooden vertical foregrip, but missing its wooden stock and loads from 30-round stick magazines, very reminiscent of the M1919 Thompson Annihilator. The wooden stock and 50-round drum magazine can be obtained from high-level United Allies traders and carried by S.A.S Operatives.

"Heavy Thompson"

A modified "Heavy" variant of the M1928 can be found in United Allies Supply crates as the "Heavy Thompson" chambered in ".45 ACP". Bizarrely, it has a scaled-down Maxim M1910 machine gun's water-cooled jacket mounted over the barrel with no visibly-attached hose with water can for it to properly function, as well as the gun-shield which is in-fact, functional and gives the shooter a degree of protection. It can be similarly modified with the same 50-round drum mag and wooden stock from the regular Thompson.

MP Jelen

The Croatian MP Jelen, a crude modification of the Soviet PPSh-41 appears in the game as the game's version of the PPSh-41, and is incorrectly chambered for "10mm" in equally incorrect 36-round magazines, presumably as a stand-in to 7.62x25mm Tokarev. It can be upgraded with a drum magazine that only holds 56 rounds as opposed to the real-life 71 rounds, presumably for balance reasons. In pre-beta builds of the game, the PPSh-41 was modelled after a standard Soviet-made PPSh-41 with wooden stock and full-length barrel intact. They are commonly found in the hands of Raiders and U.A Security personnel.

The weapon by default has no stock, but can be upgraded with a wooden one that resembles that of the MP 3008, as well as an extended 50-round drum magazine and either a suppressor or a compensator for muzzle attachments. It is commonly carried by S.A.S Operatives. The pre-beta and Early Access release version of the weapon was previously a Sten Mk II which converts into a Sten Mk II(S) with the suppressor attachment.

Rifles

Colt M16A1

The M16A1 with wooden furniture appears in the game as the "M16", and is chambered for "5.56mm" ammo in 20-round magazines by default. It fires in semi-auto, but can erroneously be switched to a 3-round burst fire which the A1 variant lacks. It can be upgraded with 30-round extended magazines and a scope based on the Colt 3x20. The M16 is commonly seen in the hands of U.A Marines and veteran Raiders.

Machine Guns

The Bren gun appears in the game as the "Bren Mk2" and is chambered in "7.62mm" (presumably standing-in for .303 British or an allusion to the later L4A4 variant in 7.62x51mm NATO), erroneously in the curved .303 British magazine somehow containing 36 rounds. It currently has no attachments.

MG42

The MG42 appears in the game under two variants; a vanilla "MG42" and a "Heavy MG42" variant that is fitted with a gun shield for extra protection. It is chambered in "7.62mm" rounds (presumably a stand-in to 7.92x57mm Mauser rounds, although the later MG3 is actually chambered for 7.62x51mm NATO) on a 50-round drum and cannot be aimed-down sights due to its bulk and weight. Notably it has a rather sluggish rate-of-fire of around 500 rpm, in contrast to its real-life ability to go at insane cyclic rates of over 1200 rpm-1800 rpm. Both variants of the MG42 can be found used by Central Empire Commandos and Supply Drops.
