Season of the Devil (Filipino: Ang Panahon ng Halimaw) is a 2018 musical drama film following Hugo Haniway (Piolo Pascual), a doctor in the Philippine countryside caught up in the atrocities and actions of the Integrated Civilian Home Defense Forces / CHDF, a dictatorship-backed civilian paramilitary force in the year 1979.

It should be noted that all the firearms seen in the film appear to be some sort of cheap airsoft or toy replicas. They are catalogued because they are all presented as real firearms.

The following weapons were used in the film Season of the Devil:

Rifles

M4A1

The M4A1 is anachronistically featured in this movie, used by the CHDF members. The movie is set in 1979, three years before the gun started being designed. It may be intended to stand in for more period-accurate Colt carbines like the Colt XM177E1 or Colt Model 653, although the rifles in the film are still fitted with anachronistic quad-rail handguards.

The props used in the film have some inaccuracies compared to the real weapon, such as their use of "teardrop" forward assists and lack of brass deflectors.
