More to come. - Gunmaster45

Looks great so far! The movie itself wasn't so good, but being a John Woo movie, at least the gunplay was exciting enough. -MT2008 03:55, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
I think war isn't a place for Woo action. War is more drama/action, not action/drama. I too thought the film was nothing special but it was okay. It really annoys me how whenever the soldiers are pinned down by the Japs, battle hardened Enders runs in and kills them all with his Thompson, firing from the hip. It doesn't allow anyone to take the movie seriously. Plus, apparently all Japs shoot for the legs when someone is running away. At least some training is evident with the actors, like Nick Cage usually has his finger off the trigger and most people use the sights (except the scenes when Enders and Ox come charging in, firing the Thompsons from the hip). Everyone flinches in this movie except Chick and Enders. That's my short gun-nut review of this movie. - Gunmaster45
Done! How's it look? - Gunmaster45

The page is a masterpiece, I changed all of the "Jap" words to Japanese because Jap sounds a little racist, but otherwise, awesome job.TheDon152 22:10, 18 February 2009 (UTC)

Not really, it is just shortening the word. It only sounds racist because it was what they typically refered to the Japanese during WWII. It's not like I wrote gooks or nips (excuse the terms). I guess I understand but some stuff people shouldn't be so sensitive to. - Gunmaster45

Just saying, that whole legend of flamethrowers exploding hollywood style, does anyone know that that is what happens in the real world? We've all seen it happen on the screen but I've never heard it as cold hard fact. The fuel mixture is supposedly difficult to ignite without the flamethrower's ignitor. My point is I think it isn't right to say that this is the big risk when carrying the thrower as is written in the article. My evidence for doubting this, Mythbusters busted the exploding car gas tank with a non-incendiary shot.

There is no way to explode a flamethrower pack with a single bullet, expect if it's a rocket or a grenade it won't explode. The flamethrower pack is filled with a non-flammable gas that is under high pressure. Read more here:Wiki link to military flamethrowers.-Oliveira 16:27, 8 June 2009 (UTC)

Thanks Oliveria, I thought I remembered hearing that on the History Channel, and I was not about to quote wikipedia.

Why not? Wikipedia is pretty good. Especially english Wikipedia.-Oliveira 21:41, 12 June 2009 (UTC)
Because often times when you quote wikipedia, whether the information is true or not people have a tendancy to automatically discredit it because of how some people butcher articles for fun.-RedJedRelver
That stuff makes wikipedia look bad. Really bad.-Oliveira 20:35, 14 June 2009 (UTC)
Tell me about it, usually most information is reliable, and even then i check around to verify, but because of idiots that edit the political stuff quoting Wikipedia makes people think you know nothing about what you are saying.
