March of Millions is a 2007 German two-part film drama directed by Kai Wessel. Summer of 1944, Lena Countess von Mahlenberg returns from Berlin to her East Prussian homeland. Once there, the self-confident young woman is confronted not only with her family's past but also with the desolate situation of the civilian population. In the chaos of war, Lena revolted against senseless orders from the Wehrmacht and campaigned for the rights of forced laborers. In doing so, she develops a special relationship with the French prisoner François. As the Eastern Front approaches, a huge flow of refugees begins
