Crash is a 2004 ensemble drama that follows the lives of several individuals of varying ethnicities living and working in the city of Los Angeles and who are loosely connected. The film was produced, co-written, and directed by Paul Haggis and the cast included Matt Dillon, Thandie Newton, Don Cheadle, Shaun Toub, Ryan Phillippe, Terrence Howard and Sandra Bullock. Crash would subsequently be nominated for six Academy Awards and would win three, including the Award for Best Picture. The film would later be adapted in 2008 as a 13-episode television series that premiered on the Starz Network.
