Danny Waldron (Daniel Mays), PC Rod Kennedy (Will Mellor), PC Hairnderpal "Hari" Bains (Arsher Ali), PC Jackie Brickford (Leanne Best) and DC Kate Fleming (Vicky McClure) whilst undercover as PC Kate Francis. DS Steve Arnott (Martin Compston) briefly arms himself with one whilst attending a funeral and DI Matthew "Dot" Cottan (Craig Parkinson) uses one frequently throughout the series.
Ronan Murphy (Shane Gately) carries an M1911 pistol, which he surrenders without firing. Sgt. Danny Waldron (Daniel Mays) later uses it to fire rounds into a wall to make it appear he and the team were fired on first.
One of the men who collects DI Matthew "Dot" Cottan (Craig Parkinson) after his escape from police headquarters carries a Mini Uzi. He later uses it to try and shoot DC Kate Fleming (Vicky McClure), but is unable to when Cottan steps in front of her.
