Russian M1869 Krnka Rifle - 15,24x40mmR

Krnka M1869 (also called M1867) is a Russian battle rifle. It is a conversion of muzzle-loading M1857 rifle musket into breech loading rifle, designed by Austrian (Czech) gun designer Sylvester Krnka. Krnka rifle was created in 1867 and adopted by Russian Army in 1869. While Krnka rifle was officially replaced by more advanced Berdan Rifle in late 1870s, it was used by troops in Central Asia until late 1880s while Bulgarian army still used them in World War 1.
