The Interceptor (Zapreshchyonnaya Realnost) (Russian Title: Запрещенная Реальность) is a 2009 Russian science-fiction action movie directed by Konstantin Maximov. Film based on a novel Smersh-2 by Vasiliy Golovachev. Special-service agents Matvey Sobolev (Igor Petrenko) and Georgiy Kurylo (Aleksandr Baluev) have been mates in the past. Now they are inappeasable enemies. Georgiy Kurylo is headed by a powerful organization, which aims to seize power in Russia. This organization has the newest models of the psychotronic weapon. Also the powerful forces of the parallel worlds are involved in the fight for the human world.

Many of Kurylo's guards and his special forces fighters armed with the customized PDT-9T Esaul in different configurations. This is semi-auto only version of the Kedr PP-91 submachine gun chambered for 9mm P.A. Rubber less-lethal. Russian filmmakers use modified versions to portray various fictional submachine guns
