The Great Gatsby (2000)

The Great Gatsby is a 2000 American/British television adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's 1925 novel of the same name directed by Robert Markowitz (The Tuskegee Airmen). The film stars Toby Stephens as the title character, with Mira Sorvino, Martin Donovan and Paul Rudd. The TV movie was a joint production of the American A&E Network and British Granada Productions (now ITV Studios.)

This was the only television adaptation of The Great Gatsby. All other adaptations were feature films, including the third directed by Jack Clayton in 1974 and fourth directed by Baz Luhrmann in 2013. As a television movie, it ran almost an hour shorter than the two later feature versions.
