Sheriff's star (Zvezda sherifa; Russian: Звезда шерифа) is a 1992 Ukrainian detective (at Unkrainian language it also known as Зiрка шерифа; Zirka Sheryfa). Based on the novel of Sidney Sheldon's "The Naked Face". Random collision doctor-psychoanalyst Judd Stevens with mafiosi Anthony DeMarco - the core of the plot of the film. DeMarco's wife, Anne Blake, goes to the clinic Stevens, but he can not understand the vague hints of what her problem. Anthony DeMarco (Aleksandr Martynov) uses at the end of the movie a revolver (previously, he took it from Frank Angeli, before killing him), which is heavily visually modified Nagant M1895. This is the exact same modified Nagant revolver that was later used in the 1993 film Killer's Wedge (Sposob ubiystva).
Bandits DeMarco uses PPS-43 to shoot the Sheriff (Nikolai Litus). The SMG has a strange barrel. One of the arrivals police officers in the final battle, if not strange, also carries a similar submachine gun.
