Sheriff's Star (Zvezda sherifa)
|
Sheriff's Star (Zvezda sherifa; Russian: Звезда шерифа) is a 1992 (filmed 1991) Ukrainian detective (at Ukrainian language it also known as Зiрка шерифа; Zirka Sheryfa), based on the novel "The Naked Face" by Sidney Sheldon.
In contrast to the more famous earliest 1984 movie adaptation by Menahem Golan, the plot of this film is a very close to the original book, with the only difference that the action is also rescheduled at the present time.
The following weapons were used in the film Sheriff's Star (Zvezda sherifa):
Pistols
Makarov PM
Corrupt policeman Frank Angeli (Anatoliy Kotenyov) carries Makarov PM as their weapons.
Suppressed Makarov PM
One of the killers (Nikolai Gudz) sent by DeMarco, has silenced Makarov PM.
Colt M1911A1
One man of DeMarco, sent to kill Judd, has Colt M1911A1. In the final battle in the incinerator, Judd Stevens (Sergei Martynov) kills one of the bandits and take his Colt pistol.
Revolvers
Nagant M1895 (visually modified)
Heavily visually modified Nagant M1895 revolver is seen in Sheriff's (Nikolai Litus) holster. It was mocked-up to look like as modern Colt revolvers, especially the Trooper MK V. Anthony DeMarco (Aleksandr Martynov) uses at the end of the movie a analogous revolver (previously, he took it from Frank Angeli, before killing him). It is the same gun which several times passed from hand to hand.
This is the exact same modified Nagant revolver that was previously used in the 1988 film New Adventures of a Yankee in King Arthur's Court, and later used in the 1992 film Four Sheets of Plywood and 1993 film Killer's Wedge (because all films had the same armorers).
Bruni Olympic 5
Andrew McGreavy (Arnis Licitis) and Frank Angeli (Anatoliy Kotenyov) in several scenes used a Bruni Olympic 5 revolvers.
Submachine Guns
Thompson M1928A1
One of the police officers arrived in the final battle, bears Thompson M1928A1 with a drum magazine.
Suppressed PPS-43
DeMarco's thugs uses PPS-43 submachine guns with integral suppressors (probably fake) to shoot the Sheriff (Nikolai Litus). One of the arrivals police officers in the final battle, if not strange, also carries a similar submachine gun. It is the same weapon which several times passed from hand to hand.
Shotguns
KS-23
S.W.A.T. at the end of the battle in the incinerator is armed with the KS-23 shotguns.
