Bunta Sugawara (菅原 文太 ''Sugawara, Bunta'', August 16, 1933 – November 28, 2014) was a Japanese actor known for his roles in Toei Studios gangster films of the 1960's and 1970's, most famously the ''Battles Without Honor and Humanity'' series.
He is also known for the voiceover work he performed in his later years. He passed away on November 28th, 2014 from liver cancer.
