The Interpreter is a 2005 thriller starring Nicole Kidman as a interpreter for the United Nations who overhears a possible assassination plot against the dictator of the fictional African country of Matobo. The movie was the first feature to ever film scenes in the actual UN General Assembly in New York City. The Interpreter was the final film directed by Sydney Pollack (Three Days of the Condor, The Firm).
