Re: Heroes

Hey, thanks for the correction and identification.--Alienqueen11 (talk) 22:40, 31 December 2013 (EST)

Hey Ben, I just want to let you Heroes - Season 2 is completed, feel free to look over it and correct anything if need be. Thanks for all the help and advice. I'll be moving on to Seasons 3 & 4 soon.

Hey Ben, I just started on Season 3, and I need help with identification on a revolver I added, it's cataloged as a Smith & Wesson Model 637 Airweight because that's the one that best matched it when I looked, if you can take a look at it and confirm it, I will be grateful.--Alienqueen11 (talk) 23:48, 6 January 2014 (EST)

Hey again Ben, thanks for the correction last time. Hate to have to ask for your help again, but I'm having a dilemma with some AK rifles in Episode 11, I can't tell for sure if some of them are AKMs or Type 56s, some of them have hooded sights while most of them seem to have slant muzzle brakes, I put the images on Talk:Heroes - Season 3. If you can confirm them, I will once again be grateful. Thanks in advance.--Alienqueen11 (talk) 23:37, 9 January 2014 (EST)

Many thanks--Alienqueen11 (talk) 01:49, 10 January 2014 (EST)

Hey Ben41, I need another identification, I have this rifle I spotted in episode 23, I think it cold be an M14 rifle, but need a little help to make sure, it's at the bottom of Talk:Heroes - Season 3. Thanks in advance for any help.--Alienqueen11 (talk) 23:30, 19 January 2014 (EST)

Hey Ben, thanks for all the help you've given me so far. I have yet another unknown I found in Season 4, do you mind taking a look at it on Talk:Heroes - Season 4 if you're not too busy?--Alienqueen11 (talk) 23:28, 26 January 2014 (EST)

Thanks.--Alienqueen11 (talk) 18:03, 27 January 2014 (EST)

Hey Ben, Thanks so much for helping me build the Heroes page. I have one last identification I need for Season 4, if you can identify this rifle for me, I can complete the page.--Alienqueen11 (talk) 00:08, 29 January 2014 (EST)

Solomon Kane

I want to create article Solomon Kane. This is France, Czech and Great Britain film. You wrote me, that I shouldn't create articles to samurai films. It's not samurai films, but it contain only a few flintlock pistols. May I create this page or not? Pyramid Silent (talk) 13:30, 2 January 2014 (EST)

Milla Jovovich

Milla has the power of pictures .. is fussy and yet it is the same character from one series. --Pandolfini (talk) 19:34, 4 January 2014 (EST) It was said, that they need less foto. Why is there so much Milly from one series?--Pandolfini (talk) 19:37, 4 January 2014 (EST) Now it's the best! (I mean the three last selected.) In the additional gallery I removed the one that is on the main page in order to avoid repetition. Thx!--Pandolfini (talk) 19:39, 4 January 2014 (EST) I see. I had no idea, sorry. I did not want the same image was in discussion and on the site :)--Pandolfini (talk) 04:46, 5 January 2014 (EST)

My Name is Nobody

Thanks for the edit to my synopsis. I actually rewrote it a couple of times, but it just seemed clunky. It's amazing what a fresh eye can do. Good editors are all too often unappreciated, but not by me. --Jcordell (talk) 18:14, 10 January 2014 (EST)
Sure thing. It's a great movie and should have had a page here in imfdb years ago. Got it for Christmas so I knew it was a sign. LOL.--Jcordell (talk) 18:19, 10 January 2014 (EST)

Watermark

Hey buddy! Love your screencaps! BTW. As per your question, it's not like I'm slowwitted and haven't thought about it. LOL! :D It takes a bunch of time to go back and REDO all of the many images that don't have it. I will make the time (which I don't have BTW) to do that. I DO, however, put a watermark on all the new pics. or at least the LOGO which they have to intentionally remove before reposting, thus eliminating their excuse that they 'didn't know'. :) MoviePropMaster2008 (talk) 21:02, 12 January 2014 (EST)

breaking bad

Why is the Talk page for Breaking Bad looking like the actual page itself? And the actual page for Breaking bad is less populated? MoviePropMaster2008 (talk) 22:33, 12 January 2014 (EST)

you've done it with several entries. BUT, the reason I asked about it is that the "TALK" pages are there on the directory listing of shows along with the actual show pages. That isn't right. The TALK pages should not be listed with the actual pages on the directory. It looks bizarre and makes the entry look incomplete and confusing. I may not be explaining this well, so let me know if you know what I mean. :) MoviePropMaster2008 (talk) 02:36, 14 January 2014 (EST)

April Rain

I've been trying to dig up info on this film, and from what I can tell, it hasn't gotten a DVD release yet, so I'm not sure it's fair to mark is incomplete just yet. --Funkychinaman (talk) 18:56, 15 January 2014 (EST)

It looks like that's just the theatrical release. According to a post from 11/6/13 on its Facebook page, there's not DVD release yet. "Thank you all for your support of "April Rain." The DGA screening was a huge success. Keep an eye out for the release of "April Rain" coming soon. In the mean time, my latest feature film "Fatal Instinct" is currently in post production." (And this is why I hate it when people do pages based just on trailers. Ugh.) --Funkychinaman (talk) 19:13, 15 January 2014 (EST)

Soldier

The reason that I reverted your screenshot of the HK91 back to mine is because your screenshot does not show that the weapon has a non-pushpin lower receiver, the distinguishing feature of the HK91 compared to the G3. Do you mind re-taking it so that it does a better job proving the identity of the weapon? -MT2008 (talk) 13:32, 20 January 2014 (EST)

BHD Miniguns

Just curious, why did you change the ID on the Black Hawk Down miniguns from GAU-17/A's? In all the screenshots they appear to have the slotted flash hider of the GAU-17/A (not sure about on the Little Bird as they are spinning, but as they appear to have a transparent band in the middle this would also suggest they have the slots). Also, as the Black Hawks were provided by the Air Force I would assume that they were fitted with the actual GAU-17/A miniguns that are fitted IRL. Note that the stock image for the GAU-17/A is of one fitted to an HH-60 Pave Hawk and it is identical to this, including the accessories such as the sight rail, mounting bracket and stuff like that. --commando552 (talk) 18:06, 4 February 2014 (EST)

I thought it was the army that supplied the choppers. --Funkychinaman (talk) 18:58, 4 February 2014 (EST)
Been a long time since I saw the making of documentary so you are probably right. However, surely we should still call it a GAU-17/A though as it is that specific variant, rather than the generic M134. If they are Army then I know that a GAU designation may be technically wrong for what they would call them, but I don't think the Army have a designation for this variant so I think it is better to use the GAU one to differentiate the two. Otherwise we would have to call it "the special updated M134 flexible variant that the USAF calls the GAU-17/A but the Army still just call the M134". --commando552 (talk) 19:42, 4 February 2014 (EST)
The thing is though, it is the exact same gun as the GAU-17/A. It isn't the case that the GAU-17/A is just what the USAF call the M134, it is a different variant with a number of modifications (must notable for ID purposes is the flash hider) to allow it to be more effective in the flexible role. It was developed by the USAF and then the Army starting using it but haven't given it a destination over and above the general "M134" which is horrifically vague and applies to all weapons regardless of manufacturer or configuration. To me it makes much more sense that we should call it the GAU-17/A as this is an identifiable, separate variant and this is the designation it was invented with. Granted this is a slightly grey area as these specific guns in the film have the official designation of an M134 as it is actually a genuine Army helicopter, however if it was mounted on a mecha in an anime we would not debate whether it was an Army or Air force robot, we would just call it a GAU-17/A as that is what it is. Furthermore, if a GAU-17/A is mounted on a pintle mount on a boat we wouldn't call it a Mk 44 which is the technically correct Navy designation, as once again it would be confusing to call the exact some gun a different name depending on what it was sitting on.
If nothing else, as it stands the current picture of the Garwood is wrong as all of the miniguns in the film have the slotted GAU-17/A flash hider. The correct picture would undeniably be the GAU-17/A one, and then at this point you are back to saying that that if it was mounted on a USAF helicopter would be a GAU-17/A, but on an Army Black Hawk it is just an M134 because the Army never bothered to come up with a name for it (probably because they are too proud to use a USAF GAU designation). We should put a disclaimer in the GAU-17/A section that it is not actually called that in US Army service though like we have done similar things on several other pages, like the Barrett M82A1/M107 difference, or that we call later P226s P226Rs even though that is not the actual name. --commando552 (talk) 22:00, 4 February 2014 (EST)

Re: The colony

Thanks, I was going to. I just had that copied in a text doc before I lost everything else.--Davken1102 (talk) 15:19, 8 February 2014 (EST)

Ok, thanks for the info. I wasn't sure if it was ok to save an unfinished page but I'll do that from now on. This is my first time contributing anything so I'm trying to learn asap. If i cannot identify some of the guns how would I ask for assistance?--Davken1102 (talk) 19:03, 8 February 2014 (EST)
Thanks for the help so far, I didn't think I should save that much, doesn't that use up server space to save often? or no big deal? --Davken1102 (talk) 02:10, 9 February 2014 (EST)
I'm using vlc player w/ hd source. Could you check the ones I've reuploaded and see if they look better? I redid the double barrel shotgun and it looks good on the page but the others look kind of squished for some reason even though I took them the same way. --Davken1102 (talk) 03:50, 9 February 2014 (EST)
