Against the Law is a 1997 action movie directed by Jim Wynorski. Rex (Richard Grieco) considers himself a modern gunslinger and "the fastest gun". He drives from Arizona to Los Angeles, leaving behind him multiply bodies of police officers who were not fast enough. Rex's main target is a LAPD Det. Shepard (Nick Mancuso), a hard-drinking cop who by chance became a star of LA police.

Most LAPD officers, detectives and SWAT troopers carry Beretta 92FS pistols. In the final scene John Shepard (Nick Mancuso) uses a Beretta, given to him by Lt. Carpenter (Steven Ford). Rex (Richard Grieco) also uses a Beretta that was taken from one of police officers whom he had killed.
