Angel Beats! (エンジェルビーツ! Enjeru Bītsu!?) is a 13-episode Japanese anime television series produced by P.A. Works and Aniplex and directed by Seiji Kishi. The story was originally conceived by Jun Maeda, who also wrote the screenplay and composed the music with the group Anant-Garde Eyes, with original character design by Na-Ga; both Maeda and Na-Ga are from the visual novel brand Key, who produced such titles as Kanon, Air, and Clannad. The anime aired in Japan between April 3 and June 26, 2010. An original video animation episode was released on December 22, 2010. The story takes place in the afterlife and focuses on Otonashi, a boy who lost his memories of his life after dying. He is enrolled into the afterlife school and meets a girl named Yuri who invites him to join the Battlefront—an organization she leads which fights against God. The Battlefront fight against the student council president Angel, a girl with supernatural powers.
Note: An interesting fact in Angel Beats! is that any weapon can be made in the Afterlife World using only dirt, as long as the creator remembers the image and specs of the weapon he/she is trying to create. (Which also means there are some crazy weapon designers in the afterlife who can recreate Kriss Vectors, M2000 Interventions, and AT4s...)
The following firearms were seen in the anime television series Angel Beats!:
Yuri (AKA "Yurippe") uses a Beretta 92FS Brigadier Inox as her main weapon of choice. She actually has two of these handguns and at one point she dual wields both of them.
Glock 17
Otonashi Yudzuru uses a 2nd Gen Glock 17s as a primary weapon. It first was given to him by Yuri, who claims "even newbs can fire this". Unfamiliar with firearms, Otonashi nonetheless trains with the Glock until he becomes a proficient shooter, where he can shoot "gangster style" and without looking. Near the series' end, he is revealed to have two Glock 17s, firing them both simultaneously and in different directions.
Smith & Wesson 645
Hinata carries a Smith & Wesson 645. He is quite familiar with the gun and is a good shot. In the final battle, he reveals that he had two S&W 645 up his sleeves.
USP
Ayato Naoi is armed with two 9mm USP. He dual-wields them and can shoot at different directions simultaneously with them.
H&K P7
An Heckler & Koch P7 serves as Matsushita's little sidearm during the SSS journey to the ruins of the Guild.
SIG-Sauer P226R
Ooyama's signature sidearm is a SIG-Sauer P226R. His preferred primary weapon is actually a sniper rifle, but he uses his pistol for closer ranged fighting.
Stechkin APS
Noda prefers to fight with his halberd, but at one point, despite hating guns, he is forced to use a Stechkin APS gun against Angel.
LAR. Grizzly
The amazing English speaking TK uses a LAR Grizzly for his sidearm. He often dual-wields it along with his Hi-Power. It seems he has two LAR pistols as he dual-wields two in the end rather than his usual Hi-Power
Browning Hi-Power
TK's other handgun of choice is a Browning Hi-Power. He dual wields it along with his L.A.R. Grizzly.
Desert Eagle Mark XIX
Takamatsu carries a Desert Eagle Mark XIX. However, it is not quite noticeable in the anime, only making a good appearance once.
Fujimaki's pistol
A currently unidentified pistol is used by Fujimaki in the final battle. It has back slide serrations and a safety on the slide, but those are the only identifiable features.
Sub-Machine Guns
PP-19 Bizon-2
TK preferred primary weapon is the PP-19 Bizon-2 sub-machine gun, first seen during the first assault against "Angel"
PPSH 41
Fujimaki carries a PPSh-41 during the encounters with "Angel"
Heckler & Koch MP5A2
Ooyama seems to be using a H&K MP5A2 when the SSS team goes down the guild a second time.
TDI Vector
Towards the end of the series, Yurippe equips herself with a TDI Vector as a primary weapon. She uses it as her main weapon until she gets a Mk.18 MOD 0 from Chaa.
Assault Rifle
Heckler & Koch HK33
Some members of the SSS are armed with H&K HK33s, both full and telescoping stock versions (A2 and A3 respectfully).
When The student body council security and Naoi interrupts the SSS meal time, one of the members points a Heckler & Koch HK33A3 rifle with telescoping stock at them before being stopped by Yuri.
SIG SG 552
Takamatsu sometimes uses a SIG SG 552 assault rifle.
Mark 18 Mod 0
Guild leader Chaa presents a Mk. 18 Mod 0 assault rifle to Yuri to back her up on her mission to destroy the Shadow's source. It is customized with a railed handguard, a foregrip, an EOtech sight, a Beta C-Mag slapped onto it, and a custom retractable stock; it also has a reduced fire rate compared to normal AR-15 variants.
Ooyama's primary weapon of choice is a Remington M700. He serves as the main sniper for the SSS team.
H&K PSG-1
Takamatsu at one point uses a H&K PSG-1 sniper rifle.
M14 Designated Marksman Rifle
Hinata is armed with a M14 DMR when both he and Otonashi serve as lookouts as they scan for their enemy, student council president Angel, to protect Operation Tornado.
Galil Sniper Rifle
While serving as a lookout along with Hinata in Operation Tornado, Otonashi is equipped with a Galil Sniper Rifle.
M-200 Intervention
Yuri uses a CheyTac M200 during the first episode when she snipes her nemesis, Angel. Being new to the Afterlife world Otonashi asks if the gun Yuri uses is real. He also discourages Yuri from firing at Angel.
Others
AT4
Being the heavy weapons guy of the team, Matsushita use an AT4 against Tachibana Kanade (Tenshi), to little avail.
Model 24 Stielhandgranate
When Angel attempts to take the guild, Chaa and the other guild members use high-explosives M24 Stielhandgranates to stall Angel.
Yuri's Grenades
Yuri keeps a few explosive grenades on her when the team goes down the guild. It resembles a bit like a green can.
