Police Squad! (1982).

Police Squad! was a 1982 television show that introduced Leslie Nielsen's character Det. Frank Drebin of the fictional "Police Squad!", a parody of typical cop shows of the 1960s and 1970s. While the show only lasted six episodes, it gained a cult following that would culminate into a trilogy of feature films, beginning with The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad!

Colt Detective Special

The main sidearm of Det. Frank Drebin (Leslie Nielsen) is a Colt Detective Special. Drebin's superior, Capt. Ed Hocken (Alan North) uses a Detective Special as well.

Colt Official Police

Sally Decker (Kathryn Leigh Scott) uses two Colt Official Police revolvers when setting up the murder of Jim Johnson (Terry Wills) and Ralph Twice (Russell Shannon) in the opening scene of Episode 1. The crime lab scientist Ted Olsen (Ed Williams) is later seen firing both revolvers into sets of tapes of Barbara Walters interviews in order to prove a point to Drebin.
