The following firearms were used in the film Mulholland Falls:
Det. Arthur Relyea (Chris Penn) carries a Colt Official Police with a 4" barrel throughout the film, notably firing it during the gunfight at Jimmy Fields' beach house.
U.S. Army soldiers and MPs, including Col. Nathan Fitzgerald (Treat Williams) and the Captain (Kyle Chandler), carry M1911A1 pistols holstered. After they are taken to the Army base, Det. Lt. Max Hoover (Nick Nolte) and Det. Elleroy Coolidge (Chazz Palminteri) knock out a couple MPs and take their 1911A1s, using them to infiltrate Gen. Timms' home.
Several of the soldiers on the U.S. Army base carry M1 Carbines.

Most of the World War II variations of the M1 Carbine were sent back to the Military Arsenals and retrofitted with the Bayonet Lug and adjustable rear sight. This is the version seen after late 1945 and all the way until the 1960s. This version is seen most often in World War II movies, despite being anachronistic for most World War II battlesError creating thumbnail: File missingThe Captain is flanked by soldiers with M1 Carbines.Error creating thumbnail: File missingA soldier with an M1 Carbine walks on the right side of the car.
