I must admit I have not seen this film, but it is a very disturbing subject matter for filmmaking, even if the plot is 'fiction'. As a film goer and GUN OWNER (as well as armorer) 'fictional' stories such as this create 'myths' that eventually the general public accept as truth. In the context of the 'fictional plot' they can use ANY weapon they like, but in the real world, I shudder when I see 'assault weapons' in the hands of "re-imagined" Columbine Killers. The weapons actually used by the real world killers is known (Mossberg shotgun, Hi point Carbine, AB-10 pistols, etc) but I get uneasy when filmmakers present such a delicate subject matter with literary license. Among other things, the film offers a serious consideration of (1) the ease of purchase of firearms over the Internet; (2) the effects of violent video games; (3) bullying; and perhaps most important, (4) the fact that not every child who has a disadvantaged background, is the victim of bullying, or plays video games turns into a ruthless killer. Unidentified shotgun
Alex also uses a shotgun of some kind but I don't know what it is because I'm not really a gun nut. Anybody want to watch the film and put it up? I must warn you though, it's a much slower film than what you're probably used to.
