Basic Info

My name is A.J. and I live in the United States. I am 15 (don't be put off, I am WAY mature for my age) and know suprisingly a lot about firearms (mainly pistols). I'm a pretty good shot, but I'm definitely no professional. I love foreign languages, I am currently studying Spanish, and am planning on studying Arabic in a year or two. I hope to eventually go into some type of Federal Law Enforcement, preferably NCIS or Homeland Security.

My username does have some truth behind it. I am a great sax player, and love playing jazz. I have also done Martial Arts for 8 years, and recieved my 1st Degree Black Belt last year.

Due to me being in High School and actually wanting to succeed in it, I will probably not be able to have too many contributions, but I will screencap when I can and fix stuff as always.

Favorite Stuff

My favorite movie is (well, are) the James Bond series.

My favorite TV shows are NCIS, Hawaii Five-0 (2010), and Person of Interest. I am also a fan of Burn Notice and Psych.

My handgun of choice is either the SIG-Sauer P228 or the SIG-Sauer P229R. I also like the Para-Ordnance P-14 45 Limited, Beretta Cougar, and the pre-2004 Walther P99.

My rifle of choice is the Noveske Rifleworks Diplomat. While I do love the look of the SIG SG 552, I much prefer the feel of the M4 platform and the looks of the Noveske.

I'm sorry, but just can't stand Glocks. I know they are extremely reliable and well-made pistols, but I don't like the way they look or the way they feel in my hand. To each their own, I suppose.

Screencapping

HOW I SCREENCAP

From iTunes-I buy the shows on iTunes iPod Touch/iPad and pause, take a screen picture (home button and sleep at the same time) and then transfer it to my PC, convert it to JPG, and upload.

From DVDs- I use VLC Media Player on my PC, which has a specific screencap button as well as frame-by-frame. If you do take this route, make sure to set the screencap settings to PNG rather than JPG, as the PNG's are higher quality. However, you will have to convert every PNG to a JPG before uploading.

I suggest creating a specific IMFDB folder on your hard drive, then adding subfolders for each project. For TV, I create one big folder with subfolders for each season and then episode. Helps a LOT with uploading and keeping everything straight.
