It seems to me that this is not RPK but RPD. I'm not sure but the shape of barrel and bipod looks more like RPD. Greg-Z 01:16, 2 May 2012 (CDT)

:Look at the way the drum is canted in relation to the rest of the weapon. That is an RPK as the RPD the drum is 90 degrees in relation to the weapon. I know the picture is not the best but it's the best I can get with the materials I have on hand. Rockwolf66 01:24, 2 May 2012 (CDT)

Finally, a widescreen bluray version of this film is coming

No more crap FULLSCREEN badly transfered DVDs. Apparently Synapse procured the rights to Red Scorpion and they found a LONGER director's cut of the film. Since they have openly stated that they want to get the original negatives and do a master transfer and a blu ray release, I would wait until that happens. Woo hoo! MoviePropMaster2008 (yeah, I know it's bad cinema, but it was a fun shoot em up that was ridiculous and fun).

Thank god. I have been looking for a decent copy of this movie for years. I can be patient for awhile longer. Mercer 08:01, 27 November 2010 (UTC)
The Synapse Bluray and another from Arrowhead are being released around now, apparently theres tons of extras including a rare documentary made at the time and commentary by the director Joseph Zito (who directed Chuck Norris' early ventures into cinema).--The Mercenary 05:13, 4 April 2012 (CDT)

Screencapping

Well I'm trying out my new tower and hopefully I can get this film fully Screencapped. I'll be doing the whole film so there will be replaced images.Rockwolf66 22:24, 28 April 2012 (CDT)

Just a warning I am going to overdo it with the screencaps and I would like someone to come in afterwards and thin them out when i am done.Rockwolf66 14:01, 29 April 2012 (CDT)
I have a few screenshots that I'm going to add, but you can finish it up. --Ben41 15:28, 29 April 2012 (CDT)
Either one of you guys do great screenshots. I look forward to the completion of this page. Though I gotta admit, Ben41 lists very HIGH on my list of stellar screenshots. I think he is the standard to beat! ;) LOL. MoviePropMaster2008 16:20, 29 April 2012 (CDT)
Thanks for the kind words. Rockwolf66, I'll let you take care of the rest of it. --Ben41 16:56, 29 April 2012 (CDT)

Well I'm a neophite when it comes to Screencaps and currently I'm only about 20 minutes into the film and I'm having issues with VLC Media Player taking PNG files insted of Jpeg. I should just add the images I have already taken and then let other's add theirs.Rockwolf66 22:29, 29 April 2012 (CDT)

I've screencapped the page and Tomorrow I am redoing the page totally. I would love it if random people don't do anything to the page till I'm done with it as I've noticed some things that people have missed and it's going to annoy me if people start changeing things before I am done putting up a revised and re-written page.Rockwolf66 23:26, 30 April 2012 (CDT)

FAL or R1?

It seems to me that the FN FAL rifles in the movie are South African version R1. The fake AO-63 also could be based on R1 rather then genuine FAL - after all, the movie was filmed in South Africa. What do you think about it? Greg-Z 05:59, 30 April 2012 (CDT)

Done

Well I am done for now. Hopefully someone like Ben or MPM can clean up the sawdust as I know that things could be done but I'n not sure what at the moment.Rockwolf66 16:03, 1 May 2012 (CDT)

I'm sorry, but I thought that you were going to take your screencaps from the new widescreen blu-ray version. Unfortunately, these screenshots appear to be from the same old full screen DVD. As MPM stated at the top of the discussion, the hope was to remake the page with shots from the new version. Thanks for redoing the summaries though.--Ben41 18:02, 1 May 2012 (CDT)

Drum magazined RPK

It seems to me that this is not RPK but RPD. I'm not sure but the shape of barrel and bipod looks more like RPD. Greg-Z 01:16, 2 May 2012 (CDT)
